Our computer has been having issues lately. At first, it was that the internet wouldn't let us onto Hotmail and Facebook, or watch shows from the ABC.com website. How annoying, right? Well, then the computer starts freezing when we open the internet. Then the computer won't even get past the blue "welcome" page that comes up when the computer is loading. I think we have a virus. :(
We took the computer over to a friend's place to get it looked at (this kid is a wiz with computers), and he said it could take him a week and a half to figure out what's wrong with it. Not only that, but it could end up that we have to get a completely new hard drive! Ahhh! What about all the pictures and music and stuff on the computer????? He said he's trying to back that stuff up just in case, but it still makes me sad. I've had this computer since my freshman year of college, and it's never had any problems before!
So here I am, up at the school doing this, and when I'm at home, I have neither internet nor cable tv to entertain me while Andrew is eating or sleeping. I've already cleaned almost the entire apartment, done bunches of dishes, and I'm almost done with laundry too. (Although, is that really possible when you have a baby?) I've already seen all of our movies a million times - except The Perfect Storm, which I don't want to watch. The library hasn't contacted me to let me know that any of the books I've requested the last two weeks have come in. What should I do with my time??? It's not that I don't like being home or spending time with Andrew, because I LOVE it. I just need to feel connected to the world somehow, you know?
The good thing is, I've been spending a little more time with Andrew, if that's possible. I put him on his tummy the other day, and not only did he NOT spit up, but he held his head up for a long time, and his chest for a little bit! Not bad, considering I almost never put him on his stomach! Also, I started pulling him up into a sitting position and holding him there, and he really seems to like the new view! I'd lay him back down on his back, and he'd start crying, so I'd lift him back up, and he'd be happy again. I took a couple videos of him, one of him playing with Jason and the other of him being happy while sitting, but until I can get our computer back (or some computer...), I'll have to wait to post them. :(
Anyway, sorry for complaining. Life really hasn't been all that horrible without the internet...
