Dancing!

This video is only 29 seconds long, but it's hilarious! Andrew started dancing to music a long time ago, but he's really started going at it recently! The other day, Jason was cleaning the apartment while I was gone donating plasma, and was playing some Latin music to get things going. I came home to see this:

So so funny!!!!

Selling + Haircuts

I've realized that it's been a while since I've updated, but I have to admit, there isn't a whole lot to say.

Recently, we've been trying to sell some of our stuff on Bulletin Board (BYU-Idaho's version of Craigslist), and the eastern-Idaho Craigslist, partly to bring in a little more money, but mostly to start getting rid of stuff before our big move in August. Most of the stuff we've been selling have been things we haven't needed or don't have great need of before we move.

Well... We decided to sell more essential things lately. Like our couches, the entertainment center, and our kitchen table and chairs. I thought it might take a while to sell the table, but it was claimed just about right away. They have yet to pick it up, so we still have it, but it's pretty much gone. The entertainment center I thought would be gone fast, but no one has expressed interest in it. And our couches, our beautiful (cough) DI couches, have been snatched up way faster than I was expecting! Within a couple days, we sold the big couch, and someone has claimed the love seat and have yet to pick it up. This is just crazy.

So, if you come over sometime over the next couple weeks, our apartment will probably be just about empty! Ridiculous, especially since we're not leaving until August. At least we still have our beds!

I only have a few pictures of Andrew. He just doesn't stay still long enough for me to get too many pictures anymore, which makes me sad. What happened to my baby? You know, the one that didn't have any teeth to chip and couldn't even roll over, much less crawl, or walk, or climb? Sheesh. The good thing is, he held still enough for me to give him his very first haircut! He looks like such a big boy now! It's ridiculous. Anyway, here are some pictures of him recently, including the before and after hair.

One morning he wanted to play in the bath tub, so I let him!

He loves playing at our complex's playground.

And here are pictures from his haircut!

And after!:

I'll post more pictures of the hair when I take them. :)

Bye Bye, Florida...

Yes, it's true. Jason and I have decided that attending Ave Maria School of Law is not what we're going to do. It was kind of upsetting to come to that conclusion when we had been hoping for it and been so excited for it for the last couple months, but so it must be. When we first learned about Ave Maria, we were excited about a few of the aspects of the area it was located and about the school, but overlooked some pretty big flaws; flaws that really shouldn't have been overlooked. Plan A: didn't work out. Plan B, dashed. Want to hear Plan C? (Cross your fingers!)

We are still moving in August, just not to Florida. We'll be moving to:

OHIO!!!

I'm happy that we'll be going to my home state to live, if not for the next stage of our lives, then at least for the next year. Here's our plan as of right now:
  • We move to Ohio in August, get Jason a job as quick as possible so that he can be considered a resident by next August.
  • Jason takes an LSAT prep course in the hopes of raising his score a LOT and be able to get into a good school.
  • Go on weekend trips to take tours of the different law schools on our current list (which I will post at the end of this entry)
  • Be happy!
It really isn't my favorite plan because I was hoping that Jason could just jump right in to law school after graduating here in July, but things don't always turn out the way we wish for them to, huh? But this will be for the best, I'm sure.

Ok, here's the list of schools we're looking at. If you know anything about them (you love them, hate them, weird area... stuff like that), PLEASE let us know. :)
  • Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio
  • Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio
  • Cleveland State University in Cleveland, Ohio
  • University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio
  • George Mason University in Arlington, Virginia
  • College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia
  • Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah
  • University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  • University of Connecticut in Hartford, Connecticut
A lot of schools, I know, but we need help deciding whether we should narrow it down, or apply to all of them in the fall! Ahh!

Anyway, just thought you should know. :)

Ouch!

Andrew has begun the stage where he likes to climb on everything - onto the couch, onto the big bed, and as I've shown you a picture of, up into his high chair.

Well, I was talking on the phone and wasn't paying attention to Andrew. I could tell he was climbing up into his high chair because of the noise coming from the kitchen, but I've started to not worry about it because he's never fallen. Until this moment when I wasn't paying attention. Poor kid!

I got him to calm down, and we went to Walmart to look for a bath tub plug (we've lost ours, of course!). As we were walking around, Andrew got happier, but when he smiled, it looked like this:

You might not be able to tell, but his two front teeth on top are chipped a little bit! I couldn't believe it! After Andrew fell, he was on his back. I didn't think he had hit his front at all!

Anyway, what I guess I'm asking is this: how early is too early to see a dentist?

Sheesh. It's like I need eyes in the back of my head or something to keep track of this kid! :)

Las Vegas Pictures

I'm not very good at updating my blog with pictures anymore. Andrew is demanding almost 100% of my attention when he's awake - believe me, it's for his safety! - so I haven't found much time to update the blog, much less add pictures.

But I found time to upload the pictures from our recent trip to Las Vegas on the computer, and Andrew is playing contently with the contents of my wallet, so I'm going to go for it!

Hanging out on Jason's shoulders at Jason's sister Holly's house.

Trying on sunglasses.

Looking so cool!

They have a trampoline in their backyard with a basketball hoop next to it, and Andrew really loved playing out there.

Trying to shoot a basket. Go Andrew!

With Aunt Katie!

Jason loved playing on the trampoline with everyone.

Bath time is always a favorite.

We went to the fountain show at the Ballagio hotel. It was pretty amazing.

This is what a lot of the ceiling inside the Ballagio looked like - like huge flowers!

They had this area inside the lobby that was full of real blooming flowers and trees, and these gigantic bees, spades, and flowers in pots.

These pictures are from after the trip. Andrew has started climbing into his highchair by himself! It's really scary! In this picture I had it rolled up to the couch so that he'd have a soft landing if he did take a tumble.

Recently, he's started bringing me different shoes for me to put on his or my feet. This day, not only did he bring me his shoes, but he brought me one of his vests from his dresser. (Which we usually have hidden in the closet with the door shut. He likes to spread his clean clothes throughout the apartment.) So, I put the vest on him, and this is the resulting outfit. Isn't it beautiful? Haha.
