"Always gotta keep busy or the voices start telling me to do wild things." -Steve Brown
Maybe that's why I haven't been blogging; I guess I've been busy! No voices telling me to do wild things
lately. ;) Mostly keeping our place clean after the tornado called Andrew ravages the place! (And this entry has become quite long because of pictures, so if you want to skip it, skip away!)
Things we've done over the last few weeks:
- Watched this movie a million + 1 times:
- Loaded, ran, and unloaded this:
- ... and ate a few meals cooked like this:
We are loving our new ward! They're so friendly and we've made several new friends already, mostly those who live in our complex. Speaking of which, our little road is lovingly referred to as "Mormon Alley" because there are 5+ LDS families living right there. It's been really fun.
As per request, here are a few pictures of our new place!
| We live on the second floor, with the stairs inside our apartment |
| View from the middle of the stairs looking up |
| Living room from the top of the stairs |
| Our living room/path of Andrew the Tornado! |
| Dining area taken from the living room |
| Kitchen! I don't like galley-style kitchens, but this one will do. :) |
| We have a balcony! This on is right off the living room and there's a window to see it from the kitchen |
| Hallway to the boys' bathroom, washer/dryer (no picture of that), and bedrooms |
| the boys' bathroom |
| the boys' bedroom |
| a little more of their bedroom... Their closet is awesome! Three separate places to hang their clothes plus a small set of shelves in the middle. Score! We didn't need to buy a new dresser! |
| Our bedroom. It really is this empty. There's just our bed. And our lamp. *shrug* |
We have a second balcony! Right outside our bedroom! We don't have any outdoor furniture yet, but I can't wait to get some so we can sit outside after the boys have gone to bed! (Plus there's a storage area out there.)
And that's where my camera's battery died. Off our bedroom we have our bathroom, and through the bathroom is our walk-in closet. I *love* it.
Alright. It's late. And this post is entirely too long.
The End.
Secret: I don't like talking on the phone. Which a lot of you probably already know. My secret is this: whenever a phone call needs to be made, I try to convince Jason or someone else to make the call for me. Sad, right? It's awful. |
