Well, I missed yesterday. You see, I got caught up in this book... aaaand I forgot. Haha. It's just one of the many stories of my life. :)
Here we go - Days 2 and 3:
Day 2 - Something you feel strongly about
Ooh, this is perfect timing! Something I feel very strongly about is my faith. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka the Mormons). I love it with all my heart, and it has definitely shaped the person I've become. If you want to learn more about what the LDS church stands for, you can hear it straight from our leaders THIS VERY WEEKEND! Our church is holding its' semiannual General Conference today and tomorrow, and you can either watch it on TV on the BYU channel if you have cable, or stream it from your computer from THIS link. See? I said it was perfect timing!
Day 3 - A book you love
Oh dear. This one is going to be hard. I have a LOT of books I love! Instead of one, I'll give you a *small* list.
- The Book of Mormon
- Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck (written by one of my friends' sisters-in-law!)
- Timeless by Alexandra Monir
- Hourglass by Myra McEntire
- Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins
- Eve by Anna Carey
- Divergent by Veronica Roth
- Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
- Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen (and all of her other books, too!)
- The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
- etc.
What are some of your favorite books?
Secret: I have a fear of knives. When I was younger, I had no fear of them. Then, one day, I was cutting an apple (in my hand, no less... how silly!), and swoosh! I cut through the apple, but managed to cut the skin off the tip of my middle finger on my left hand. Ever since then, I've been extra careful, and a bit fearful, of knives, and other sharp objects.
Haha, I know! It's so hard to narrow down a list of books to just a few. Some of my favorites include Deerskin and Sunshine both by Robin McKinley.
ReplyDeleteill have to steal that quote at the top! :-) i have the worst memory, so I love that one. haha
