Appointment

Well, I went and saw the doctor today, and it looks like everything is going well! I came in a little early (as I suspected...) because they want you to have your first appointment between 8 and 10 weeks. When they did the ultrasound, the baby was so small they could hardly see the yolk sac, and couldn't see the baby at all. They had to measure the gestational sac to get an approximate "age" of the baby, and it looks like I'm about 6 weeks along. Whoops! I went in early with Andrew last time too. I thought I was around 9 weeks, and he was 7 1/2 weeks along. I guess my body just likes to do things a little later than normal!

I have another appointment in 3 weeks to make sure that the baby is growing, and also to give us a more accurate due date. Until then, the due date is somewhere around mid-February. If I really am 6 weeks along today, then the due date would be Valentine's Day! That'd be a sweet gift.

No picture for now, but after the next appointment I'm sure I'll have a fun little gummy bear picture to post. :)
