New Car Seat and Birthday Blues

Jason and I finally received the convertible car seat that was ordered for us a week and a half ago! It's so nice! It's really spacious for Andrew too, which is exactly what he needed. The last one was starting to cramp him.

He doesn't look too happy in this picture, but that's because he's been teething lately. No worries. So far, on all the drives we've been on, he's seemed to love it. I think he loves the space and also being able to get out of the car seat when we leave the car. He doesn't like being strapped in for too long. And who can blame him?

Today is Jason's birthday, and MAN, have I got the blues about it. It's not because he's getting older. I could care less about that. Plus, he's only turning 24. He's a youngin' still. What I'm upset about is that he's too busy to celebrate. We were up at the school at 8am for classes, and he was there until 3:45. We were able to eat a birthday dinner together, but pretty much every other second was dedicated to homework. And now he's at a stake meeting for his calling from 7-10pm, a meeting that usually takes place on Wednesdays. So I'm not happy.

I even wanted to make cupcakes for him, and I haven't been able to. :(

Well, I'm just crossing my fingers that this weekend is free, because we are going to celebrate! I love birthdays and holidays and it just doesn't feel right if they're not celebrated. *sigh*
