Happy 2nd Birthday, Andrew!

"The secret to staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age." -Lucille Ball

Well, I'm a little late in posting about this - two weeks late, but oh well! And Andrew is still young enough that he won't have to lie about his age for a long time!

Andrew turned 2 years old on December 30th, but we didn't celebrate until the next day, Friday the 31st, because that's when everyone in my family could participate! My older sister and her husband came over after their work day was over, we all ate dinner, had some yummy cake:

...and had Andrew open his presents!

He got some monster trucks that make noises and light up, some big "normal" cars, a Pluto stuffed animal, a big coloring book, and big crayons. He loved it all, but immediately became attached to the cars, of course!

After all the fun at home, we all got in the car, and went to the Columbus Zoo to see the Zoo Lights that they have up every year for the holidays. We didn't get to see a lot of animals because a lot are in hibernation or were asleep for the night by the time we got there, but we got to see some fish, manatees, and a few other animals.

I didn't take the above picture, because, of course, I accidentally left my camera at home, but this is just to give you an idea of what one small part of the zoo looked like all lit up!

We had a great night, and I still can't believe that Andrew has grown so much, or that two years has passed. I'm one lucky girl to have such a cute little boy in my life!

Secret: Sometimes I think Andrew might like healthier foods than me. We went out to eat with my parents once last week, and instead of eating his macaroni 'n cheese and french fries, he helped my dad finish his fish platter. He even dipped the fish in the tarter sauce! Not only that, but the other day, we bought some HUGE tomatoes for a few of the meals we have coming up for this week. Last night, he ate an entire massive tomato by himself. This child really is a wonder.
