Seriously. They've put up with me what seems like a million times - calling them, coming in to see them... Yeah. Let's just say that we've called them at least 5 or 6 times since Andrew's been born. Also, as of yesterday, we'd been in to see them 4 times.
Yesterday, I called and talked with a nurse for a little bit. Andrew's still spitting up a TON, and I wasn't sure if that was normal since he was taking medicine for his reflux. Also, for the last several days, he's been acting kinda colicky in the evenings, and I wanted to know if maybe the reflux was getting worse and he needed a stronger perscription. They had us come in just to make sure that everything was alright, and it turns out that he had a temperature of 100, and he has an ear infection in his left ear! Thank heaven I called them and that they wanted me to come in! We now are giving him medicine for the reflux, medicine for the ear infection, and medicine to help lower the temperature. Oh yeah, and don't forget, sometimes medicine to help with gas (which seems to be painful for him).
Hurray for medicine. Someday, Andrew won't need any medicine. I can't wait for that day!
Sam tagged me to do a "high school memories" thing, so here goes (hopefully Andrew will be asleep - or at least content! - long enough for me to do this):
1. Did you date someone from your school?: Nope. I dated someone from another school, but I was never interested in the boys at my school, and they were never interested in me either.
2. Did you marry someone from your high school?: Nope. He's from Washington, and I'm from Ohio.
3. Did you carpool to school?: Yep. I went to an early-morning church class, and I always gave a couple kids from my neighborhood a ride there and then took a bunch of kids to school afterwards.
4. What kind of car did you have?: Well, it was my family's car, but I was the main driver of it. It was a sage-colored Ford Windstar. Yay for minivans! I can't wait to drive a minivan again. I know that's weird, but it's true.
5. What kind of car do you have now?: We drive a 1990 Ford Tempo. I don't like it very much, especially since it's a stick. I know I'm crazy for not liking to drive a stick, but I don't!
6. It's Saturday night now. You're: watching a movie at home with Jason, or watching him do homework while I take care of Andrew.
7. It's Saturday night then. You're: at a church dance, hanging out with friends, or out doing something with my sisters.
8. What kind of job did you have in high school?: Well, I only had one real job. One summer I worked at Sno Shack, where I made sno cones. My "not-real" job was a paper route. But it wasn't like I had a choice with that one.
9. What kind of job do you have now?: I'm a full-time mom!
10. Were you a party animal?: Haha, far from it. I never was even invited to a party, much less went to one.
11. Were you considered a flirt?: I don't think so...
12. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir?: I was in orchestra and choir. I played the cello in the symphony orchestra and chamber orchestra all four years. I did pit orchestra for school plays, and a string quartet my junior and senior year. I was also the orchestra president my senior year. Then, for choir, I sang alto (mostly) in symphonic choir my freshman year, senior choir as a sophomore-senior, and madrigals and blue ladies junior and senior year. Yeah. I'd say music was my life.
13. Were you a nerd?: No. In fact, I may have started out one my freshman year because I got a 4.0 one semester, but it definitely went downhill after that!
14. Did you get suspended or expelled?: Nope. I've only ever gotten in detention once even, and that was in middle school for not having my mom sign something on time. Lame.
15. Can you sing the fight song?: I don't remember if my school even HAD a fight song. Haha. But I used to know the alma mater because of being in Blue Ladies.
16. Who was/were your favorite teachers?: My choir and orchestra teachers, Mrs. Bundy and Mr. Sholl, because I had them all 4 years, and I got really close to them.
17. Where did you sit during lunch?: Wherever my friends sat! Haha. For the latter half of my senior year though, I ate lunch with the bandies in the band room. It was fun!
18. What was your school's full name?: Hilliard Davidson High School
19. When did you graduate?: 2005
20. What was your school mascot?: The wildcats
21. If you could go back and do it again, would you?: Heck no! I mean, sure, I miss my friends and everything, but high school was awful. WAY too much drama for me.
22. Did you have fun at prom?: I went to someone else's prom my junior year, and had a really good time, except that I only danced with my date like... twice. Sad, especially since I ended up dating him for six months. And then my senior year, I went with a friend, and we didn't even dance once! It's ok though. He had already graduated and had only asked me to go because he knew I wanted to.
23. Do you still talk to the person you went to prom with?: Uhhh... yes? The guy I went with my junior year I talk to on Facebook. For my senior year, I do whenever I go home and see him.
24. Are you planning on going to your next reunion?: Maybe. It depends on how I'm feeling about those years at that point. Haha.
25. Do you still talk to people from school?: Only a couple. I have to admit - looking back, I didn't have many close friends. Only a precious few were that close to me, and them I DO keep in contact with. Sometimes. :(
26. School colors?: Blue and white
27. What celebrities came from your high school?: Well, I can only think of two "semi-celebrities". The first is Leslie Rausch, who ended up being a ballerina with some famous ballet troup in Washington state. The other is Jessica Grove, who played Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz on Broadway.
And I tag anyone who hasn't already done this and wants to. :)
Yeah for doing the High School memories!!! That was fun to read!
ReplyDeleteAnd poor baby Andrew. Good thing you found out! I really hope he gets better soon. You are such a good mom!
